These pieces are from a series of intuitively designed embroideries using both traditional surface stitching and bead embroidery.  This intuitive process means they are designed as they are being stitched, with no preconceived idea of the end result. Play, freedom, and experimentation are at the heart of this process.    I begin with one small element and let it organically emerge from there, letting my intuition guide the colors, shapes, patterns, and motifs as I’m hand stitching it together.  This meditative way of creating allows me to express my subconscious inner thoughts and ideas of the moment.  I love seeing the little surprises in how the design evolves as a result of my stitching journey.
