Beaded Cabochon

Discover the art of bead‑embroidered cabochons as you transform a flat‑backed rhinestone into a stunning focal point.  Your finished cabochon can become a pendant, key chain, or it can be incorporated into another project-such as the lid of a keepsake box, a decorative panel, or even a larger embroidery project.

In this class you’ll learn a bead weaving technique to create an elegant bezel that frames your cabochon beautifully. Once your bezel is complete, you’ll embellish it with a little bead embroidery to add more texture, color, and dimension.  Some experience with needle and thread is helpful, but adventurous beginners are also welcome.

Design and Embroider Your Own Snowflake

There’s something magical about the geometry of a snowflake; each one is intricate, balanced, and completely unique! In this class, you’ll learn how to design and stitch your own snow crystals, exploring both structure and creativity. We’ll practice a variety of embroidery stitches that lend themselves beautifully to snowflake patterns. Then we’ll look at the simple math behind planning a balanced, six‑pointed radially symmetrical design, giving you the confidence to create endless variations in any size.

You’re also welcome to follow the pattern shown in the photo if you prefer a more guided approach.  These stitched snowflakes can become wall hangings, gifts, or small ornaments.

Introduction to Bead Embroidery

This class will guide you through the essential stitches and techniques used to sew beads onto fabric. Using seed beads, bugle beads, and shaped beads, you’ll create a bead-embroidered mandala you can display. We’ll also explore how to choose the right threads, needles, and bead types for a smoother stitching experience. Whether you’re an experienced embroiderer wanting to add dimension and texture to your work or a beginner who’s curious about beadwork, this class will offer a great introduction.

Introduction to Surface Embroidery

Are you curious about how to decorate fabric with surface embroidery? This beginner-friendly class will give you everything you need to start exploring this beautiful art form – while you stitch a lovely floral design! 

We’ll discuss the essentials of materials, tools, design transfer, and finishing options. You will learn how to thread needles, tie secure knots, and create the foundational stitches needed to complete your floral design.
